Real Friends is a thirty-minute teen drama, following the life of six high school friends as they try to navigate the complex dilemmas of today’s young adults. Sex, drugs, violence, rape and pregnancy are real problems faced by teens today. Real Friends seeks to explore these topics visually to relate to teens, educate them and increase public awareness. Importantly, the story pushes the envelope for a local drama, to relate to youth, without ever crossing the boundaries of censorship.
The target audience is young adults 13-25 years old and adults and parents 35 years and up. This series will of course seek to close the age disparity and begin dialogue between teens and parents. However we have been getting positive reviews from viewers of all ages.
